Cross stitch commemorating the final entry in the “Baby’s First Year” journal kept by the artist’s mother.

Made for Moxie, because I love her. I had this idea around the same time that I found out she was a Tiger Lillies fan as well, so it made sense to make it especially for her. The text is taken from this song. I love taking a negative message and turning it into something beautiful. I think that’s why I like the Tiger Lillies so much, because some of their songs do the same thing. This is stitched on 28 count fabric and currently resides in an 8x10 frame.

I am the luckiest woman alive probably.

Haunted House Knick Knack Display (by Pin Pals)
I have been sitting on these FOREVER, but we got word from the gallery today that it’s time to go live!
So, welcome to these three pieces I created for the Super iam8bit Group show:

"The group art show that ravished the world of all its precious, videogame retro-ness four times in a row is returning for a fifth go at it. Since this is such a seminal number (five shows, that is), we’ve decided to upgrade the name a little bit:
AUGUST 11, 2011
All-night ambiance by DJ R-Rated
With special performances by Leeni and A_Rival
We’ll be hosting the event at the recently renovated iam8bit headquarters in glorious Echo Park:
2147 W. Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90026
It’s going to be bigger and bolder than ever before, as we have over 4,500 sq. ft. of event space (that’s nearly 5 times the size of the original show in 2005)!
Over 100 artists will reimagine their 80’s gaming fantasies, delusions and secret desires via all sorts of media - painting, sculpture, plush, and even some more interactive experimentation.”
